Airing one's dirty laundry in public:
revealing that which is normally not spoken about, except maybe in private; having an argument where others might hear

This is Dirty Laundry

Dirty Laundry was formed in 2012 to create exciting, eclectic, socially observational theatre accessible to a wide audience. We use the words of everyday people to create our work.

Dirty Laundry is about taking those elements of life that are the grease and the grime, the ketchup and grass stains, the rips and the tears, throwing them all in the wash and seeing what happens. We use a mixture of real life stories, classic tales and imagination to produce textually and physically dynamic theatre which strives to evoke discussion and thought. Most importantly, though, we let you make up your own mind. After all, you're the ones listening in on the conversation…

Inspired by Channel 4's 'The Hoarder Next Door', STUFF is a delve into the mounds of objects that we all keep. Why do we keep things? And why do we seem to go through life yearning for more 'things'? Do we keep stuff to prevent us from losing a cherished memory? And if that object were gone, would the memory disappear? And the stuff we keep 'just in case'... empty boxes, old phone chargers, tins of mandarin oranges in syrup (does anyone eat those?)... will we ever use them? Or will all this stuff just accumulate in our houses until we've no room left? Are we all secret hoarders?
